Celebrate the Year of the Ox!

Ricefield Arts is celebrating the arrival of the Year of the Ox with a showcase of Chinese culture. We invite our online community to join us from home on Friday 26th February at 7:30pm GMT to welcome the lunar new year!

Our talented performers from across the UK will present dance, music, martial arts and more. You’ll learn about the traditions and history of China’s most important annual festival, and enjoy an hour of entertainment with new friends from around the world.

Ricefield Arts and Cultural Centre is at the forefront in the exploration of Chinese arts and culture in Scotland by delivering arts and crafts workshops, organising cultural events, producing exhibitions, and creating community engagement opportunties. We have an excellent reputation for leading the field as an arts and cultural organisation which functions to serve schools, community organisations, public institutions, arts audiences, the Chinese and diverse communities in Scotland.

The Confucius Institute for Scotland’s Schools, based at the University of Strathclyde, is a national centre funded by the Scottish Government and the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation. It is an award winning Confucius Institute working with schools across Scotland to engage pupils with Chinese language learning and culture.
